Hi,

I'm hoping to find the lady responsible for the ALIFORM tracks on myspace... I'm not sure if this is the right person or not... (I would send a message through there, but alas the idea of grade school friends reaching me has prevented this from ever happening)...

Anyway, I found the songs by typing something like: chicago classical piano myspace; with little-to-no intentions of anything other than finding something local to listen to...

I'm impressed, unexpectedly so. I've been keeping a distant ear for potential collaborators for an electronic music project the last while (without wanting to rely on the pool of rock duders of Craig's List or the gearheads on Chicago house music forums)...

I won't go into details (seeing how this might not even be the right person) but if this seems like something that would be of interest to you, I can be reached at mthomasdavies@yahoo.com... I guess for a better understanding of where I'm coming from musically, I would suggest checking out POLMO POLPO from Toronto (where I'm originally from).

I'm in Chicago, also..

I am not an internet predator. Kind of fucked up and weird, sure...

If you are not this person, feel free to curse my name to the heavens. Thanks.

Just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed the poem. I got a book of poems by Samuel Taylor Coleridge and now I really "get" poetry. Funny because long ago I used to write poetry, but only now do I get it!
Peace

Word - I haven't voted yet, but I took the day off to do so..then I found out I have to go in later! Anyway, I'm glad for all the excitement. But I look back on past votes, particularly 96 and 00 and remember how (at the voting booth) boring they were with a slight bit of nostalgia. Voting was easy and you didn't really worry about the "technicalities" that political parties are using more often to suppress votes.
Overall though I'm glad to see the engagement and hope it continues. I hope that we will all engage with each other as well - across all the different "lines" that divide us.

Thanks. Note that the title comes from one of the levels of rebirth in Buddhist thought: if your karma is bad, you will be reborn as an animal, a god, a demon or a hungry ghost. Only humans have the ability to become enlightened, to become Buddhas.

I think about this a lot in terms of metaphor - if we lose our humanity, we lose our ability to become enlightened - and it is all in our action and intent.
